Bitka za Beograd u Prvom svetskom ratu inspirisala bend SABATON
Novi album benda SABATON pod imenom "The Last Stand" je sve bliže, a tokom preslušavanja ovog izdanja bend je otkrio par detalja o tematici albuma za austrijski portal Stormbringer. Interesantno, jedna od pesama pod imenom "Last Dying Breath" bavi se odbranom grada Beograda u Prvom svetskom ratu. Pesma govori o bitci koja se odvijala 6. i 7. oktobra 1915. godine kada su Austrijske snage napale Beograd preko Dunava, a ova "marširajuća, puna klavijatura i melodična" pesma inspirisana je rečima kojima je major Dragutin Gavrilović inspirisao svoje trupe. On je okupio svoja tri voda, dva voda 3. bataljona i Sremski odred i pred kafanom "Jasenica" izrekao sledeću naredbu koja je ostavila utisak i na bend Sabaton:
"Junaci! Tačno u 15 časova neprijatelja se ima razbiti vašim silnim jurišom, razneti vašim bombama i bajonetima. Obraz Beograda, naše prestonice, ima da bude svetao. Vojnici! Junaci! Vrhovna komanda izbrisala je naš puk iz brojnog stanja, naš puk je žrtvovan za čast Beograda i Otadžbine. Vi nemate više, da se brinete za živote vaše, oni više ne postoje. Zato napred u slavu! Za Kralja i Otadžbinu! Živeo Kralj! Živeo Beograd!“

Dragutin Gavrilovic (25 May 1882 – 19 July 1945) was a notable Serbian and, later, Yugoslav military officer. Gavrilovic was born in Chachak, Serbia, in 1882. After his graduation from the military academy in Belgrade in 1901, he took part in every war the Serbian army fought until World War II.
He is remembered in Serbian history books for his dramatic order to his troops issued on October 7, 1915, the first day of the defense of Belgrade against the Austro-Hungarian and German attack during the First World War. Prior to the defense of Belgrade, he was also notable during Battle of Cer in 1914 (First Entente victory in WWI), Battle of Drina (1914), and the famous counter-attack Battle of Kolubara (1914). Holding the rank of major, Gavrilovic at the time commanded the 2nd battalion of the 10th Cadre Regiment, which, along with a detachment of Belgrade gendarmerie and a group of about 340 volunteers from Syrmia, was defending positions at the very confluence of Sava and Danube, beneath the Kalemegdan Fortress.
